Classic Beijing Tour

Day 1. Entry Beijing, Take outside view of Bird Nest.
Be picked up from airport or train station by English speaking tour guide and private vehicle.

Stop at Bird Nest to have an outside view of the 2008 Olympic Building. As the major venue of the 2008 Olympic Games, the Olympic Park contains three areas including the Forest Park in the north, major venue and supporting facilities area in the center and the completed stadiums and the reserved area. The completed stadiums contains the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), National Swimming Center (Water Cube) and the National Indoor Stadium (Folding Fans). Take an outside view of the venues.


Day 2. Tiananmen Square, National Museum, Lunch, Forbidden City, Tea Tasting
English tour guide will pick up from airport or train station.

Drive to Tiananmen Square, the biggest downtown Square of the world. Take a sightseeing on the famous square.

Then visit National Museum. The National Museum of China consists of two separate museums: the Museum of the Chinese Revolution in the northern wing and the National Museum of Chinese History in the southern wing. The National Museum of China houses over 620,385 cultural items in its permanent art collection. The museum also possess many Chinese historical artifacts that would not be found in other museums such as the heaviest ancient bronze- Simuwu Ding.


After lunch, Drive to Forbidden City. Forbidden City is also called Palace Museum and is located at the center of Beijing. It was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's largest palace complex.
Visit Forbidden City along the central axis for 1.5 to 2 hours.

Enjoy Chinese tea ceremony and have a rest in a local tea house.
China is the hometown and birthplace of Chinese tea. Being the national drinks of China, tea has a history of four to five thousand years. Tea culture is one of the specific representative of Chinese culture.

Transfer you back to your hotel after the whole day tour.

Day 3. Ming Tombs, Lunch, Badaling Great Wall
Pick you up from your hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive 1.5 hours to Ming Tombs. Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling was started in 1409 and completed in 1427.
Visit the biggest one of Ming Tombs (Chiangling Tombs) for 1 hour.



After lunch, move on to Badaling Great Wall. Badaling is the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained. It is easy to walk along this section of defensive project of ancient China. Visit Great Wall for about 2 hours.



Transfer you back to your hotel after the whole day tour.

Day 4. Temple of Heaven, Summer Palace, Beijing Hutong by rickshaw
Pick you up from your hotel at 08:30 am.

Drive to Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, Temple of Heaven is situated south of Beijing city. It is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world. Take sightseeing for about one hour.



Have lunch in a nice local restaurant.

Drive to Summer Palace - 20 kilometers northwest of downtown Beijing. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc.

Move on to Beijing Hutong -ancient city alley in Beijing. Many of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming (1368-1628) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City. Visit Beijing Hutong via rickshaw including Local family, Drum Tower, Houhai Lake and Bar Street.

Transfer you back to your hotel after the whole day tour.

Day 5. Departure
Be picked up from your hotel and transferred to airport or train station for departure.
