Day 1. Entry Beijing, Temple of Heaven.
Be picked
by private vehicle and English speaking tour guide from airport. Be transferred
to hotel. After a short rest in hotel, visit Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420,
Temple of Heaven is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex
in the world. Take sightseeing in the attraction for one hour. Be transferred
back to hotel.
Day 2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Beijing Opera
Be
picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.
Visit Tiananmen Square -the biggest downtown
Square of the world. Walk around on Tiananmen Square. Then we will enter the Forbidden
City from the north end of Tiananmen Square. Forbidden City also called Palace
Museum and is located at the center of Beijing. It was the imperial palace during
the Ming and Qing dynasties. Rectangular in shape, Forbidden City is the world's
largest palace complex. Take sightseeing in Forbidden City along the central axis
for 1.5 to 2 hours. Then we will drive to Summer palace - 20 kilometers northwest
of downtown Beijing. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and
Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including
more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc. Take sightseeing
for 1 to 1.5 hours.
Have dinner in a restaurant with Beijing local favor.
Enjoy Beijing opera in theatre. Beijing Opera is deemed the national opera of
China. The accompanying music, singing and costumes are full of Chinese cultural
facts. It presents an encyclopedia of Chinese culture as well as unfolding stories,
beautiful paintings, exquisite costumes and graceful gestures.
Be transferred
back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3. Badaling Great Wall, Ming Tombs, Sacred Way.
Be
picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.
Drive one and half hours to the famous
Badaling Great Wall -the most famous section of Great Wall, well maintained. It
is easy to walk along this section of defensive project of ancient China. Take
sightseeing on Badaling Great Wall for about 2 hours. Cable car is optional to
get the top to have a bird view of the wall.
Drive 30minutes to local restaurant
with SICHUAN flavor to have Chinese lunch.
Drive 20minutes to Ming
Tombs. Located 60 Kilometers north of Beijing, Ming Tombs consist of mausoleums
of 13 Ming emperors. Changling is the most famous one. Construction of the Changling
was started in 1409 and completed in 1427. Visit the tomb for one hour.
Move
on to visit the sacred way for half an hour.
Drive back to Beijing city to
have Beijing Roast Duck for Dinner. Eating Peking
duck is seen to be one of the
two things you are absolutely supposed to do while in Beijing.
Be transferred
back to your hotel after the whole day tour. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day
4. Beijing Hutong Tour, Beijing - Xian
Be
picked up from hotel at 08:30 am.
Be transferred to Beijing Hutong -ancient
city alley in Beijing. Many of them were built during the Yuan (1206-1341), Ming
(1368-1628) and Qing (1644-1908) dynasties surrounding the Forbidden City. Take
rickshaw to visit the ancient Beijing Hutong including Drum tower, Local family,
Shicha Lake, Kindergarten and Bar Street. Be transferred to airport to connect
flight to Xian.
Xian Tour guide will meet you in Xian airport. Be picked
up from airport and transferred to your hotel by private guide and English speaking
tour guide. Visit the Great Mosque -the largest and best preserved mosques of
China, which serves as an important spot for religious activities of over 60,000
Muslims in Xian. Be transferred back to your hotel. Remainder of the day is at
leisure. (Breakfast, Lunch)
Day
5. Xian
Be
picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am.
Visit the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum-the Eighth Wonder of
the World.
More than 6,000 different looking pottery figures depict
the history of the Qin Dynasty from 221 BC-206 BC. After lunch, visit
the Forest of Stone Steles Museum -a classical courtyard styled structure
with the oldest and richest collection of steles in China.
Move on to visit the City Wall -the best preserved, oldest and largest
ancient city defense system in China. The wall has a history of over
600 years. Taste local Dumpling Dinner -traditional food for Chinese
New Year. It is a must taste food in China.
Enjoy Tang Dynasty Show -performance of Chang'an music and dances that
was originated in the Tang dynasty over a thousand years ago. The musicians
present the music with the Tang-dynasty-style musical instruments. You
will enjoy a national art that reflects the glory and richness of the
Tang Dynasty era. Be transferred back to your hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch,
Dinner)
Day 6. Entry Lhasa
Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am. Visit the Provincial Museum
-a magnificent architectural complex in the Tang Dynasty style. It is
the first huge state museum with modern facilities in China. Then we
will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda -Originally built in 652 of Tang
Dynasty, the pagoda is functioned to collect Buddhist materials that
were taken from India by the hierarch Xuanzang. Now it is Landmark of
the Xian. Be transferred to airport for departure take flight to Lhasa.
Be met by local tour guide and private vehicle in Lhasa airport. Visit
the Nietang Buddha on the way from airport to your hotel. Check in Hotel.
Remainder of the days is at leisure. (Dinner)
Day 7. Lhasa
Be
picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am. Visit the Potala Palace. Originally
built in the seventh century, Potala Palace is landmark of Lhasa. It
is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional
atmosphere and splendid artworks. Then we will visit the Sera Monastery,
one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Completed in 1419,
the collection of murals is maintained in perfect, original condition.
Move on to visit the Norbulingka Park. Built in the 1740s, Norbulingka
Park was Dalai Lama's summer palace.
Visit a Tibetan family to get some information of Tibetan's life and
local custom. Be transferred back to your hotel. Dinner is served at
hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8. Lhasa
Be picked up from your hotel at 09:00 am. Visit the Drepung Monastery,
known as the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism.
Established in 1416, Drepung Monastery houses many cultural relics,
which make it more superb. Then we will visit the Jokhang Temple, the
holiest site in Tibet and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for
Tibetan Buddhists. Move on to visit the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor
Street. Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble here. Visit
the Tibetan Traditional Hospital and the local Carpet Factory before
be transferred back to your hotel after the tour. Dinner is served at
hotel. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9: Lhasa - Shanghai
Morning Time is free. Be transferred to airport to connect flight in
the afternoon.
Arrive in Shanghai. Be met and transferred to your hotel. Remainder
of the day is at leisure. (Breakfast, )
Day 10. Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Children's Palace, River Cruise,
Acrobatic
Pick
up from your hotel. Visit Oriental Pearl TV Tower -the world's third
tallest TV and radio tower, which combines ancient concepts with 21st
Century technology. Get a bird-eye-view of whole Shanghai city by mounting
Jin Mao Tower -the tallest building in China. Then we will visit Nanjing
Road and the Children's Palace -where gifted children attend and learn
to dance, sing and other art skill. Have a short Cruise on Huangpu River.
Enjoy Acrobatic Show in the evening. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day
11. Yu Garden and Market, Departure.
Be picked up from your hotel at
09:00 am. Visit Yu Garden, one of the best Suzhou-style gardens in southern China.
Then we will drive to visit Shanghai Museum, known as the Museum of Ancient Chinese
Art, where you will find more than 120,000 precious and rare works of art. Visit
the Bund -famous waterfront with art-like buildings in China, the symbol of Shanghai
for hundreds of years. Be transferred to airport to connect flight. (Breakfast)
