Two Days Bus Tour to Shanghai City, Suzhou and Zhouzhuang

Itinerary

Day 1: Boarding—Yu Garden—The Bund — “Xintiandi” Former French Concession—Lunch—People’s Square-Shanghai City Planning Exhibition Hall—Jade Buddha Temple—Back

Our tour coach will pick you up from boarding place at schedule time.

Then we will start our tour to the Yu Garden. Yu Garden is considered one of the most lavish and finest Chinese gardens in the region. It contain six general areas imitating the Suzhou style. This garden was specially built for host's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age.
After visiting Yu Garden, we transfer to visit The Bund. It is one of the symbols of Shanghai and located along the Huangpu River. The Bund shows of Shanghai’s outstanding foreign buildings. The old Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank is the most famous building among them. Later, we go to the Xintiandi walk street. It is gathered with shopping, relaxation, restaurant, business and culture. And the walk street combine eastern and western style. Then we move on visiting French Concession, which was a foreign concession in Shanghai from 1849 until 1946. This area was the premier residential and retail districts of Shanghai, and was also the centre of Catholicism in Shanghai for much of the 20th century. Despite rampant re-development over the last few decades, the area retains a distinct character. Finally we go to Pearl City to watch all kinds of pearls and have a short rest.
After lunch, we visit People's Square. It is a large public square neat Nanjing Road. You can visit the Shanghai's City Hall on the other side of People's Avenue or Shanghai Museum and other famous sites near the square.
Then we go to Jade Buddha Temple. It was built in 1882 to enshrine two jade Buddha statues which were brought from Burma by monk Huigen. Though the temple was destroyed during the Qing Dynasty, fortunately the jade Buddha statues were saved and a new temple was rebuilt later.
Then we will visit Shanghai City Planning Exhibition Hall to enjoy the models of Shanghai city's past, today and future.
Our tour coach will transfer you back to your boarding place after the tour. (Lunch)



Day 2: Boarding-Humble Administrator's Garden-Lion Forest Garden-Pass by Grand Canal-No.1 Silk Factory-Lunch-Zhou Zhuang Water Village-Rowing Boat-Back

Our tour coach will pick you up from your hotel or boarding place at schedule time.

Then we will start our tour to the Humble Administrator's Garden. Located in the northeastern part of Suzhou city, Humble Administrator's Garden is the largest private garden in Suzhou.
Later we move on visiting Lion Forest Garden. Located in the northeast of Suzhou, the Garden is one of the four most famous and representative gardens of ancient classical style in Suzhou City. The whole structure of Lion Forest Garden shows a flavor of Zen Buddhism and is an apotheosis of the gardens' constructions.
The we pass by Grand Canal. It is the longest canal in the world. And it was first built during the Sui Dynasty about 5th B.C.. Old City Gate is also called Panmen in Chinese. It was first built during around 770 B.C. and is the only well preserved water-and-land city gate in the world now. Then we go to silk factory to see some beautiful silk.
After lunch we go on visiting Zhou Zhuang Water Village. Zhouzhuang is one of the most famous and oldest water townships in China. It is noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the strong local colored traditions and customs. Travellers can row boat on the river to feel the water village's unique charming.
Our tour coach will transfer you back to your boarding place after the tour. (Lunch)

1. Please do let us know your full name on passport and the name you used to reserve hotel room; otherwise it is not easy for our tour guide to get in touch with you in the evening before tour date.
2. We will provide Chinese address of the boarding palace for your print when we confirm this tour. You may just show the address to taxi driver.
