Our tour coach will pick you up from hotel or boarding place in Shanghai at scheduled time to start the join in Zhujiajiao Water Town and Shanghai city one day tour.
Drive 1 to 1.5 hours to Zhujiajiao Water Town ( 朱家角 ).
Located in suburb of Shanghai, Zhujiajiao is an ancient water town with a history of more than1700 years.
Covering an area of 47 square kilometers, the fan-shaped town glimmers like a bright pearl in the landscape of lakes and mountains.


Visit Kezhi Garden ( 课植园 ).
Kezhi garden is traditional private garden in Zhujiajiao which was built in 1911.  This garden is famous for rocks, zigzagging bridges, lotus pool and farm land.

It is possible to take a boat riding in the water alley ( 小船游古镇 ).  The cost can be paid in cash on spot if you are interested.

Move on to visit Tongtianhe Traditional Pharmacy shop ( 童天和国药店 ).
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a broad range of medicine practices theory, which have been developed in China for more than 2000 years.
The practices and theory covers herbal medicine, acupuncture, massage (Tui na), exercise (qigong), and dietary therapy.
In this place, travelers may find all kinds of material realted with Chinese traditional pharamacy.

Then we will visit Set Free Bridge ( 放生桥 ).  
The Set-free Bridge is also called Release Bridge. Localed in Zhujiajiao Town, the bridge was built during Wanli Period (1573-1620). This five-hole arch stone bridge is 70.8 meters long and a width of 5.8 meters wide. Set-free Birdge is the longest largest and highest bridge of Shanghai, which is called the 'first bridge in Shanghai'.


Proceed to visit The former site of 'Qing Dynasty Post Office' ( 大清朱家角邮局旧址 ). 
This Post Office was first built in 1903 and was rebuilt and opened to the public in 2000.  This is the only well kepted Post Office of Qing Dynasty. Travelers may find a lot of precious exhibitions related with the development of Chinese post industry.

After lunch, we will visit Silk Factory ( 丝绸厂 ).
Travelers may get some knowledge of Chinese Silk Art.   It is available to discover how the silk art crafts was made.  Many kinds of Chinese silk can be found. It is also possible to buy some of them as souvenir.


Proceed to visit The Bund of Shanghai ( 外滩 ).
The Bund is a good place to enjoy the magnificent combination of the old European style architectures and the modern skyscrapers of Shanghai.  Being the first settlement for foreigners to Shanghai, the Bund gets a name of “World Exposition of Architectures”.


After Lunch, we will drive to visit Old French Concession Area ( 新天地 ).
Xintiandi Area is a place abundant with Shanghai historical and cultural element.
This area is famous for a kind of Shanghai unique building style named Shikumen. Xintiandi also known as an entertainment area. Travelers can easily find restaurants and shopping places.

Then we will drive to visit Renmin Square ( 人民广场 ).
Being the largest public square of Shanghai, Renmin Square is also called People's Square. Many famous buildings are located in or near the square.  Shanghai Museum is located on the north side of the square.
new Municipal Government Mansion, Shanghai Grand Theater and Urban Planning Exhibition Hall are all located around the square.


Travelers will be transferred back to hotel after 8 hours sightseeing.
