Beijing 1 Day Tour from Shanghai by Train

Be picked up by private car and English speaking tour guide from your hotel and transferred to Shanghai Train Station. The tour guide will see you off at the platform.

Arrive in Beijing in the early morning of next day.

Drive to Beijing City to visit Tiananmen Square. Tiananmen Square is the largest public square in the world. Surrounded by many well-known cultural and political institutions, the square is the final resting place of Chairman Mao Zedong. Tiananmen square has witnessed the founding of the People's Republic of China.

Then we will enter the Forbidden City from the north side of Tiananmen Square. Known as the Palace Museum, Forbidden City is a treasure house of Chinese cultural and historical relics. The palace was the exclusive domain of the imperial court for almost 500 years. As one of the World Cultural Relics, the palace consists of 90 palaces and courtyards, 980 buildings and 8,704 rooms.

After lunch, drive to visit Summer Palace. Summer Palace is the largest imperial garden of Ming and Qing dynasty. The whole Summer Palace covers an area of over 290 hectares including more than 3,000 buildings, such as halls, pavilions, towers, etc.

Be transferred back to Beijing train station to connect overnight train back to Shanghai Train Station.

Arrive in Shanghai on the early morning of next day. Shanghai Tour guide of Chinatravelkey.com will wait you at the entrance of your train cabin.
