Take taxi to City God Temple area to Start our walking tour.
Visit
City God Temple. Built in the fifteenth century during the Ming Dynasty, City God Temple has a history of 600 years. It is the important taoist temple in Shanghai.
Then visit Yu Market. Yu Market is a bazaar with Ming and Qing architecture near Yu Garden. The bazaar is always busy and crowded. Traverlers can find plenty of local products.
Visit
Yu Garden. Built in Ming Dynasty, Yu Garden is a famous Suzhou-style garden. With pavilions, halls, chambers, towers, ponds and rockeries, the Garden presents more than 40 scenic spots. Many valuable old paintings and calligraphy masterworks in this ancient garden. Huangshi Stone is the representative object in Yuyuan Garden.
After lunch, visit
Shanghai Museum. Shanghai Museum is famous for its large collection of rare cultural pieces. It features 120000 pieces collections hence to be regarded as one of the best museums in China. The cultural pieces include ancient bronze exhibit, Chinese sculpture, ceramics, jades, calligraphy, as well as other ancient Chinese artwork.
Visit Renmin Square. Renmin Square is a large public square adjacent to Nanjing Road in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, where the the place of new Municipal Government Mansion lies in. A blue and white dovecot can be seen in the southwest side of the square. Renmin Square is also the city's important transportation hubs.
Move on to visit
Nanjing Road. Nanjing Road is most famous commercial area in Shanghai. It is also called Chinese First Business Street. This street is always crowd in anytime. Over 600 businesses on the road offer countless famous brands, superior quality, and new fashions.
Visit the Bund. The Bund is one of the most representative scenic spot in Shanghai. It is a famous waterfront and regarded as the symbol of Shanghai for hundreds of years. 52 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance 52 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance are located at the west side of the Bund. The night view of this area is fantastic.
