MON: Taipei, Sun Moon Lake
Day 1 To be picked up at lobby of hotel in Taipei City, we will drive to Sun Moon Lake, the largest body of water in Taiwan as well as a tourist attraction. It is located in the middle of Taiwan and situated 762 meters above sea level in the lofty mountains of Central Taiwan.
Tour will stop at the famous Wenwu Temple or Literature Warrior Temple. Wenwu Temple was first established in BC1812, and it was meant to be a place for youth people advocating the loyalty and learning martial arts.
Proceed to visit Holy Monk Shrine which is located by Sun Moon Lake and built for the famous monk Tang Xuanzang who had contributed to Chinese culture and the Buddhism spread.
Then visit Tse-En Pagoda, which is 1,000 meters above the sea level and is also the highest point of Sun Moon Lake.
After touring round Sun Moon Lake, proceed to hotel for check in, stay overnight at Sun Moon Lake.

TUE : Sun Moon Lake, Tainan, Kaohsiung
Day 2 Breakfast at hotel, and then we will drive to Tainan City, the ancient capital of Taiwan. Situated on the southwestern coastal plains of the island and enjoys a warm climate year-round. It is the island's oldest and now fourth largest city. With its long history, Tainan is rich in historic sites and cultural heritage.
Then we will take you to visit Koxinga Shrine, a family shrine built in Tainan City, Taiwan in 1663 by Zheng Jing, to worship his father Koxinga.
Proceed to visit Chihkan Lou, one of the many prominent heritages of Taiwan established in 1653 by the Dutch during the period of their colonization of Taiwan.
Then visit Chimei Museum.
Continuously, we will drive to Kaohsiung City, which is the second largest city in Taiwan. The tour will take you to Love River, the spine of Kaohsiung, playing a similar role to the River Thames of London. It is of great cultural significance to the people of Kaohsiung and plays an important role in its economy and tourism. At last we will visit Lio Ho Night Market.

Day 3 Morning tour to Kenting National Park, which is Taiwan's oldest and southernmost national park, covering the southernmost area of the Taiwan island, well-known for its tropical climate and sunshine, scenic mountain and beach, the Spring Scream rock-band festival held in every March and has long been one of the most favorite resort places in Taiwan.
Stops will be made at Oluanpi light house, which is called "The Light of East Asia", because its intensity is the most powerful among Taiwan lighthouses.
Then go to visit Maopitou coastal scenic area, which is a excellent place to watch the sea and explore the stones formed by the wave erosion.
Proceed to visit Kenting forest recreation area, where more than 1,200 species of plants are arranged according to type, with areas for medicinal plants, tropical fruits, rubber trees, and so on. There are 17 scenic points that are linked together by walkways, offering visitors maximum convenience to view both the plants and the scenery.
Continuously we will drive to Taitung via Southern Link Highway.

THU: Taitung, East Coast National Scenic Area, Hualien
Day 4 After breakfast, it will be an exciting East Coast National Scenic Tour. The East Coast National Scenic Area, known as "Taiwan's last unspoiled land", stretches 170 kilometers down the east coast of the island. Weathering, erosion, and accumulation have produced a wide range of landforms here.
Our tour will stop at Siaoyeliou, offers a rich variety of fascinating rock formations similar to those found at Yeliou on Taiwan's North Shore, and Sansientai, which is formed by coral coast and three volcanic peaks, then Stone Steps and Caves of the Eight Immortals.
Late afternoon, we will proceed to Hualien for overnight stay.

FRI: Hualien, Taroko, Gorge, Taipei
Day 5 After breakfast, a whole day visit to Taroko National Park. Taroko Gorge is an Exceptionally beautiful, narrow raving created by the Liwu river which has cut deep into the mountains of solid marble. A road carved into sheer walls of rock rewinding its way past forested peaks and cliffs towering thousands of feet above it, while hundreds of feet below a river roars past gigantic marble boulders. Stops will be made at Eternal Spring Shrine, one of the most photographed sights in Taroko Gorge, Swallow Grotto, composed of marble cliff faces covered with small holes, the result of long-term erosion by river and ground water, Tunnel of Nine Turns, where the gorge is so narrow that only a very narrow width is open to the heavens, in what the Chinese call "a thread of sky", Marble Bridge,Tienshiang, the site of an old Atayal village at the confluence of the Liwu and Dasha rivers, and marble factory where there are lots of stone inscription works on show.
We will drive back to Taipei via Su-Hwa Highway and Hsuei-Shan Long Tunnel (12.9 Kms) to arrive at around 7 PM.(B)
