The visit Shi Family Courtyard. Shi Family Grand Courtyard is the former residence of Shi Yuanshi, whose family is the one of the eight powerful families in Tianjin in the late Qing Dynasty. With an area of 7,200 square meters, the courtyard is made up of 12 smaller yards and 278 rooms. The brick, wood and stone carvings are detailed and exquisite. It is the best-preserved and largest residential complex of late Qing Dynasty in north China.
