Southern
Hot Spring Park is
a botanical garden with the Longevity Lake and other places of beauty
within its boundaries. The park was built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644
AD) and is located at the south of the Yangtze River.
Southern
Hot Spring Park is a famous place with hot springs. The most famous springs
are the Dragon Spring, Jade Spring and Five Lakes Spring. The park is
also a good place to take refuge in one of the cool caves in the park
to to escape the summer heat. During the years of the Japanese air raids,
hundreds of air-raid shelters were dug into the mountains here.
