Drive to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha. Located around 2 hours' driving from Chengdu, Leshan Giant Buddha was carved during the 90 years from 713 to 803 in the Tang Dynasty, but still remains its original magnificence. The Buddha was carved out of a cliff face at the auspicious location where three rivers meet. Travelers can drive to the top and walk down the cliff to the base of the Buddha via a steep stair.
