Guangzhou One Day City Tour of Dongping Pawnshop Museum and Chunyang Taoist Temple

Be picked up from your hotel by private tour guide and vehicle at 08:30 am.

Drive to Dongshan Area to see the old building. The Villa-style Houses were built in the 1920-30s by the descendents of overseas Chinese celebrities, government officials and military officers. According to their architectural layouts, these Western style villas consists of courtyard villas and apartment villas.

Then we will visit Dongping Pawnshop Museum. Dongping Pawnshop was once one of Guangzhou's landmark buildings in the Qing Dynasty(1636—1912), also called "Dadongmen Pawnshop" at that time. Its shape likes a old traditional
watch tower made from bricks and timber. Opened to public in 2008, Dongping Pawnshop exhibits a replica of a pawnshop and many historical pictures and document.

Move on to visit Former Residence of Zhantianyou. Former Residence of Zhan Tianyou was located in an alley of Liwan District. It is a typical Xiguan House in Ling'nan area. Zhan Tianyou is the "Father of China's Railroad." He was the chief engineer of the Beijing-Zhangjiakou Railway, which is the first railway built in China without foreign assistance. The residence displays many remains of related to the railway, including the steel rail, the copper bell, the sample box of steel, etc.

Then visit Chunyang Taoist Temple. Chunyang Taoist Temple is the biggest Taoist temple in Guangzhou. It was buit against a hill in 1824, covering an area of 10,000 square meters. There are many many ancient buildings in the temple, such as Wenchang Palace, Cihang Palace, Chunyang Palace, Tomb of Li Mingche, etc. Chunyang Palace is the main hall, in the middle of which sits the gilt statue of Lu Chunyang, one of the Taoist founders.

Be transferred back to your hotel after the tour.
