7 days Lhasa to Kathmandu Overland Bus Tour 

Day 1. Arrival in Lhasa
You will be greeted by your Tibetan guide once you arrive in Lhasa Gonggar airport or train station, from airport to Lhasa city is 68km, around one hour and half drive will take you to the holy city Lhasa; from the train station it is only 15km and takes 20 minutes by drive. Afternoon have a good rest to acclimatize the high altitude. Overnight at Lhasa.

Day 2.  Lhasa City sightseeing, visit Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Streets(B, D)
Be picked up from your hotel.
Visit the Potala Palace. Originally built in the seventh century, Potala Palace is landmark of Lhasa. It is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks.
Then we will visit the Jokhang Temple -the holiest site in Tibet and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhists.
Move on to visit the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street - Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid.
Be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 3. Lhasa City sightseeing, visit Drepung and Sera monasteries(B)
Be picked up from your hotel.
Visit the Drepung Monastery - known as the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism. Established in 1416, Drepung Monastery houses many cultural relics, which make it more superb.
Then we will visit the Sera Monastery - one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Completed in 1419, the collection of murals is maintained in perfect, original condition. If we are very lucy,we may even come across Sera Monastery's Monks debiting which was held in the courtyard at around 3;00-5:30 in the afternoon.
Be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 4. Lhasa, Yamdrotso lake, Gyangtse, Shigatse (B).
Be picked up from your hotel.
Passing by the green farmland of Nyangchu Valley, Yamdro-tso lakes, karo-la glacier roadside at 4960m, We move westwards to the second biggest city Shigatse, where spiritually hosted by Pamchan Lama.
And in Gyantse, Kubum monastery is also a famous we can not miss.
Be transferred back to your hotel in Shigatse.

Day 5. Shigatse to Rongpuk (B).
Be picked up from your hotel.
Drive westwards the Friendship way to Tingri.
From Tingri to E.B.C with the road is very rough. If it is in clear weather, we can have a glimpse of 4 mountains which is 8000m high or more.
Overnight at Rongphu Monastery Tent or Guest House.

Day 6. Rongphu Monastery-Evrest Base Camp-Tingri-Shigatse (B).
Be picked up from your hotel.
Early in the morning to see the sunrise from Rongpuk then to view Mt.Everest.
Hiking up or taking bus to the top of the photo point to take pictures of the splendid- Mt. Everest.
Then we will drive back to Shigaste.
Overnight in Shigaste.


Day 7. Zhangmu to Nepal Border(B).
Be picked up from your hotel.
Be transferred to Zhangmu to Nepal Border and tour Guide will help you check out from China.

Remark:
1. Please reserve the tour at least in advance 20 days. We need time to apply Tibet entry permit for you.
2. The time of free airport pick-up:
between 11:00 and 12:00 in the morning;
between 14:30 and 15:30 in the afternoon;
3. The time of free airport drop-off:
leaves at 10:30 in the morning from hotel for flights departuring between 12:30 and 15:00;
leaves at 13:00 in the afternoon from hotel for flights departuring after 15:00.

If you want airport transfer service at other time, extra fee is needed. It is about 65$ for one trip.
