August 1st Uprising Museum: It was founded in 1956 to commemorate the Nanchang Uprising led by the Chinese Communist Party on August 1, 1927. The museum was built on the site of the Nanchang Uprising Headquarters, a gray five-storey building, which was once a local hotel but was used as the headquarters of the revolutionary army in 1927. Now the museum holds over one thousand original objects of historical and cultural importance. In addition, a series of photos of Zhou Enlai are also displayed in the showroom on the third floor.
