Cliff
Carvings at Helan Mountain in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is considered
as one of the major wonders of Chinese civilization. Totally more than
1,000 pieces of art works spread over 15 kilometers area.
They carved
by nomads in northern China 3,000 to 10,000 years ago. From the remains
we can identify some figures of sheep, deer, donkey and also the signs
of hunting, grazing and dancing. The paintings provide valuable evidence
for studying the ancient China.
