Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Tibet Small Group Tour of Lhasa Yamdrok Lake Mt.Everest and Namtso Lake
Day 1. Arrival in Lhasa
Reach Lhasa by flight or train.
Be met by driver and vehicle of ChinaTravelKey.com in airport or train station. Check in Hotel.
Remainder of the days is at leisure. You can walk slowly near your hotel to get yourself to accommodate to the anoxic altiplano.

Day 2. Potola Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street
Photo of Potala PalaceThen we will visit the Jokhang Temple - the holiest site in Tibet and is the ultimate pilgrimage destination for Tibetan Buddhists.
Move on to visit the thriving bazaar of the Barkhor Street - Tibetan culture, economy, religion and arts assemble and a place to which a visit must be paid.
Be transferred back to hotel. Welcome dinner will be arranged in this day.

Day 3. Drepung Monastery, Sera monasteries
Photo of Sera MonasteryVisit the Drepung Monastery - known as the most important monastery of Gelugpa in Tibetan Buddhism. Established in 1416, Drepung Monastery houses many cultural relics, which make it more superb.
Then we will visit the Sera Monastery - one of the three largest monasteries of Gelugpa. Completed in 1419, the collection of murals is maintained in perfect, original condition.
If we are very lucy,we may even come across Sera Monastery's Monks debiting which was held in the courtyard at around 3:00-5:30 in the afternoon.

Day 4. Lhasa - Gyantse - Shigatse (370km) Yamdrotso Lake, Karola Glacier, Simila Pass, Manla Reservoir, Gyantse Kumbum & Pelkor Monastery (Breakfast, , )
Photo of Yamdrok LakeWe will drive from Lhasa to Gyantse. On the way, the vehicle will pass the Gampala pass (4790 m).
Gampala Pass is also called KampaLa Pass, which is the dividing line of front Tibet and rear Tibet, and also the only way to the Yamdrok Lake. The pass is 4,990 meters above sea level.
Like other famous passes in Tibet, there are huge Mani Stones here. The colored prayer flags flutter in the wind. The pass is the best place to overlook the Yamdrok Lake.
Travelers will have a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso Lake (4400m) . The Lake is surrounded by many snow-capped mountain and in the distance you have spectacular views of Holy Mount Nyenchen Khangsar (7191m), the highest mountain near Lhasa.
Move on to drive to Gyantse.
Visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum.
Pelkor Monastery is also called Baiju Monastery, which is located in Gyangze County of Shigatse, 230 kilometers from Lhasa, with 3,900 meters above sea level. It is a monastery combing three major sects of the Tibetan Buddhism, Sakya, Kadampa and Gelug sects. First built in 1427, the monastery is a typical Tibetan Buddhist building of combination of temple and stupa, which was once seen in monasteries from 13th to 15th century. The stupa in the monastery is called Myriad Buddhas Stupa. More than 100,000 Buddha statues are painted in the stupa.
Drive 1.5 hours to Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet.

Day 5. Shigatse to Rongpuk (340 km), Far View of Himala Mountain Range on the way
Be picked up from your hotel.
Drive to Lhatse. Lunch is arranged in this place.
Then we will drive to Shegar. It is possible to have a view of Mt. Everest in the distance if the weather permit.

Day 6. Everest Base Camp to Shigatse
The breakfast of today need to be prepared on travelers' own.
Enjoy the sunrise of Everest Peak from the accommodation place if weather permits.
Discover the Rongbu Monastery - the unique highest monastery with nuns and monks living together.
Drive back to Shigatse.

Day 7. Shigatse - Lhasa
Be picked up from your hotel.
Drive to discover Tashilunpo Monastery.
Tashilhunpo Monastery is one of the six Buddist monasteries of Gelugpa Sect in China, the seat of the Panchen Lama, and the largest functioning religious institution in Tibet. It is loctated the southern slope of the Nyiseri Mountain to the west of Shigatse City. The monastery was fist built in 1447. Covering an area of 150,000 square meters, Tashilhunpo Monastery is surrounded by 3000-meter-long wall. The main buildings include the Maitreya Chapel and the Panchen Lama's Palace, Main Chanting Hall, stupas, and Thangka Exhibit Platform.
Drive 6 hours back to Lhasa.

Day 8. Lhasa to Namtso Lake (240km, 5 hours)
Be picked up from your hotel.
Drive from Lhasa to Namtso Lake. On the way there, we will discover Nyenchen Thanglha (snow mountain ranges) and lots of nomads tent with grazing yak and sheep densely-populated around the mountain side.
Take sightseeing at Namtso Lake after around 5 hours driving.
Namtso Lake is one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and also the highest salt lake. Travelers can do a relaxing trekking around the lake side and Tashi Island.
Overnight at Lake Shore Guest House Dorm with humble facility.
Lake Shore of Namtso is one of the best places to see stars in the sky.

Day 9. Namtso Lake to Lhasa
Enjoy a clear and peaceful morning on the shore of Namtso Lake.
Travelers may take a light trekking along the lake shore to Tashi Dor Island to explore the meditation caves.
Drive to Dumxung to have lunch.
In the afternoon, it is possible to enjoy Yangpachen hot spring (Optional) to enjoy indoor and outdoor swimming pool filled with hot springs water of Tibet.
Be transferred back to Lhasa and stay overnight
