Best Season of Haikou Tour
Haikou is located on the northern edge of the Torrid Zone and enjoys a tropical marine climate with an average annual temperature of 20C. May till October is the rainy season is Haikou, with most rainfall happening in September. April till October is the active period for tropical storms and typhoons, mostly between August and September. --Haikou Meilan Airprot is located at Meilan Town, Meilan District of Haikou. It is 25 kilometers away from the city center. --By train is also a good way for your trip. Haikou Railway Station is 20 kilometers away from the city center in Changliu District. There are express trains that connect Haikou with Shanghai, Guangzhou,Chengdu and Beijing. Haikou East Railway Station and Meilan Airport Railway Station are the two railway stations in Haikou.
--Haikou has two ports, New Port and Xiuying Port. It will be convenient to get in Haikou by ship. Haikou New Port mainly engages in passenger and car boats between Zhanjiang Port and Hai'an Port. Xiuying Port operates ships to Guangzhou, Zhanjiang, Hai'an, Shekou, Beihai and Hong Kong.

One is the up-market variety where the decor and service is as much of the dining experience as the quality of the food. The other one is those roadside stalls which offer the seafood in more reasonable price and with local atmosphere. Besides the seafood, there are many snacks famed for the taste, the first one is Wenchang Chicken, then is hele crab, Hainan Rice Noodle, Hainan chicken with coconut milk and Jiaji Duck.

Tropical Ocean World: Lies on the west coast of Haikou, the tropical ocean world is the first tropical ocean theme park founded in China. There are two peculiar entertaining items in the park. Tomb of Hai Rui: Tomb of Hai Rui is in the Binya Village in the west suburbs of Haikou.  It represents people's esteem towards Hai Rui, an upright and uncorrupted official and also a historical and cultural relic under state protection. Qiongtai Academy: Qiongtai Academy is located in the Qingshan District of Haikou. It was initially built in 1705 in memory of Qiu Jun; a famous scholar from the Ming Dynasty and it is now the site of the Qiongshan Teachers' Training School. The building is a typical Chinese brick-and-wood structure architecture with two floors. Green tiles, red corridors, carved beams and painted rafters are splendidly set off by the green trees which surround the building.
